4.0 Labs · Schools & School Districts
Student records.
Authorized access. Defined use.
Our API connection model requires the applicable School District and platform authorization before school records can be shared. Each School District integration must define the educational purpose, permitted records, authorized families and data-handling responsibilities.
School authorization is a prerequisite for access.
4.0 Labs is a family-focused Academic Command Center for organizing available assignments, deadlines, submission information and grades. Our API model places School District and platform authorization at the center of access.
A family’s subscription alone does not authorize a School District connection. We welcome conversations with schools and School Districts about an authorized school connection.
Define data access and responsibilities before connecting.
Define the educational purpose.
Identify what families need, the records relevant to that purpose, participating schools and the intended family experience.
Establish the permitted connection.
Identify the School District’s review process, the school platforms involved, the approved access method and required agreements.
Set responsibilities.
Discuss guardian relationships, permitted data uses, service providers, privacy requests, retention, security and incident contacts.
Measure the result.
Agree the requirements for the connection: accurate child matching, useful information, dependable updates and an understandable family experience.
Review the proposed connection and data terms.
Contact us to discuss your School District’s technical requirements and student-data terms. Tell us your school apps, the requested integration scope and the appropriate review contact. Please keep student records, school passwords and other sensitive information out of the initial inquiry.
Our policy prohibits selling student records or using them for targeted advertising. Read the Privacy Policy for information categories, provider roles and family choices.
