School access requires authorization.
Your school password stays with your school.
Our API connection model uses authorized access to supported school apps. Families sign in with their school or its sign-in provider; 4.0 Labs does not receive their school password through that connection. Available records depend on the approved integration and permissions.
Three steps to a supported school connection.
1. Choose your School District.
Check whether a supported connection is available for your family. School District selection does not itself enable access to school records.
2. Complete the permission steps.
Follow the applicable connection and verification process. Any school sign-in happens with the school or its sign-in provider.
3. Confirm your child.
Confirm the child covered by the approved connection. Once access and the import are complete, the Command Center organizes the available schoolwork.
Your trial starts with readiness.
Your seven-day free trial begins only after every initially enrolled child’s Command Center is ready. Successful sign-in alone does not start the trial.
Different apps. Clearly identified information.
Schoolwork apps may provide assignments, instructions, due dates and submission information. An official-grade app may provide additional grade records. The available categories depend on the approved integration; official grades are an optional connection.
Available connections can require School District setup before a family can authorize access. A parent subscription does not override school or platform restrictions.

Permission and access
School District authorization, family verification and payment each serve a different purpose. Saving a card does not grant access to school records.
Import and updates
After authorization, information must be imported and matched to the correct child. Scheduled API updates depend on the approved connection and source refresh schedule.
If a connection is unavailable, contact us about availability. Do not send school passwords or student records.
