POSITION SUMMARY

Are you an accomplished educational leader with a passion for shaping the future of learning? We are seeking an exceptional and dynamic Director of Education to lead our academic programs and inspire a team of dedicated educators. Based in Stafford, Texas, this pivotal role is responsible for overseeing all facets of our educational offerings, ensuring program excellence, regulatory compliance, and a nurturing environment that aligns with our school's mission and values. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of pedagogical expertise, administrative acumen, and a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and student success.

  • Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of each State’s comprehensive and engaging curriculum that meets the diverse needs of our students and aligns with state educational standards and our school's philosophy.

  • Provide visionary leadership and ongoing professional development to teachers, fostering best practices in instruction, classroom management, and student assessment.

  • Develop and implement robust assessment strategies to measure program effectiveness and student outcomes, using data to inform continuous improvement.

  • Ensure all educational programs and practices meticulously adhere to state licensing requirements (e.g., Texas Health and Human Services Commission regulations for child care centers) and all relevant school policies and procedures.

  • Champion a student-centered approach, working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure every student's academic, social, and emotional needs are met.

  • Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of highly qualified teaching staff. Provide ongoing mentorship, coaching, and performance evaluations.

  • Identify professional development needs for the teaching staff and organize relevant training sessions, workshops, and opportunities to enhance pedagogical skills and stay abreast of educational trends.

  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and supportive work environment that encourages open communication, innovation, and shared commitment to student success.

  • Oversee the educational budget, managing resources effectively to ensure program quality and operational efficiency. (Leverage accounting experience).

  • Ensure learning spaces are safe, well-maintained, and conducive to learning, collaborating with operations staff as needed.
    Manage teacher schedules, classroom assignments, and other logistical aspects to ensure smooth daily operations.

  • Champion the effective integration of educational technology into the curriculum and classroom practices to enhance learning.
    Maintain accurate and confidential student records, staff files, and program documentation as required by regulations and school policy.

  • Cultivate strong, transparent relationships with parents, serving as a primary point of contact for educational inquiries, progress discussions, and conflict resolution. (Leverage customer service experience).

  • Represent the school within the local educational community in Stafford, Texas, and build partnerships that benefit our students and programs.

  • Communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally with all stakeholders – staff, parents, students, and regulatory agencies – both orally and in writing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Education from an accredited institution.

  • Certification: Current and valid Director’s Certificate from State Licensing (Texas Health and Human Services Commission).

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of five (5) years of successful classroom teaching experience.

    • Proven leadership experience within an educational setting (e.g., lead teacher, department head, program coordinator).

    • Demonstrated customer service experience, particularly in engaging with parents and addressing their needs effectively.

    • Experience with basic accounting principles and budget management.

      • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting, data analysis, and communication.

      • Personal Attributes: Exceptional organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
